Small Business, BIG Heart: Building a tribe of strong women one small business at a time.

April 13, 2016

As a stay at home mother, wife, and small business owner, I know firsthand how challenging and rewarding it is to run a small business! I am inspired daily by women who have managed to achieve the same success despite their busy lives. Join me in celebrating their triumphs by hearing their stories.

Lindsey's Story

My name is Lindsey Trammell and I live in Sonoma County. I have a three year old daughter and I am expecting another little girl at the end of June. My husband and I will be married for 5 years this summer, but we have been together for over nine years now! My background is in the wine industry and remains a passion of mine. I still run a small direct to consumer wine business from home along with being a stylist with Stella & Dot.

All Things That Glitter

I am an Associate Director with Stella & Dot and will have been with the company for two years in July. I have always had a love of fashion and shopping with friends, so becoming a stylist with Stella & Dot sounded like a great way to make some extra money all while doing what I love! My main goal has always been to remain a stay at home mom but still have a way to contribute to my family and have a business I can call my own. Starting my own business was a little bit daunting at first, but once I pushed through and realized the amazing support I had around me I embraced it. I started to see the love that people had for the product and quickly fell in love with the business and company. When I started with Stella & Dot I really thought it was just about a business selling accessories to women and having the ability to have a great time while working. Once I realized the impact I was making on other women's lives and the amazing relationships I was building, I really began to look at what I was doing a little bit differently. I love sharing the joy Stella & Dot brings and I am so proud of my journey over the past 2 years.

Her Inspiration

I have to say all moms inspire me. It is one of the toughest jobs and so under-acknowledged by many. Once I became a mom myself I had an all new respect for women who are out there putting their families and children before themselves. Women can be so tough on themselves sometimes!  It is not easy having little ones, but the reward of seeing them grow and learn is so fulfilling.

Her Fit Life

Since having my daughter, I have grown to love fitness and try to be the healthiest I can be! I started with a mom's workout group with my daughter when she was 3 months old and appreciate fitness so much more because of it.
